The inside, lid, and spoon have a clear glaze, featuring a brown stoneware exterior with a naturally rough finish. Poppy flowers are embossed on the lid and a hole for the little ceramic spoon. The dishwashing machine is safe to use.
During the time when Marimekko's collections featured mostly abstract prints, Marimekko's famous poppy pattern Unikko was born in 1964. An entire range of floral prints was designed by Maija Isola based on this organic theme. In today's world, creativity is symbolized by the iconic flower.
